Abbey Claro is the brain behind Abbey's Creations (4703 Bowness Rd NW). Abbey has a love for creating unique flavours – and you can taste it! From black sesame to tasty fig treats, her wonderful ice cream is created in house and comes with unlimited toppings! They are open daily, Monday to Thursday from 10am to 10pm, and Friday to Sunday from 10am to 11pm. They are only a 5-minute drive (or a 10-minute bike ride) from home at Trinity Hills.
LICS - Leavitt's Ice Cream Shop
It just isn't summer without a visit to LICS - Leavitt's Ice Cream Shop. This old-school sweet shop and ice cream parlour have been serving up sweet and creamy treats since 1982. Choose from ice cream, sorbet, low fat frozen yogurt and cakes. This is the place to go for good old-fashioned ice cream. They're located in Parkdale, near the Bow River Pathway and Edworthy Park. They're open from 12pm to 9pm Sunday to Thursday, and 12pm to 10pm Friday and Saturday. It's about an 8-minute drive from Trinity Hills.
My Favorite Ice Cream Shop
They don't call it My Favorite Ice Cream Shop for nothing! There are so many flavours to choose from, deciding on just one (or two) is the only downside. The portions are generous and it tastes amazing. What more could you want? They're located at 8561 8A Ave SW. The shop is open Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 11am to 10pm, and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 10:30pm.
Peerless Pearl Thai Rolled Ice Cream
When you're downtown and in the mood for something a little different, you owe it to the ice cream lover in you to visit Peerless Pearl Thai Rolled Ice Cream (130 2 Ave SW). This fantastic ice cream is rolled thin, then rolled into a tube shape. Several rolled tubes of tasty ice cream are served in a cup with your choice of sensational toppings! You've got to try it. They're open daily from 12pm to 11pm. You can enjoy this unique treat as you stroll along the south bank of the Bow, along the nearby RiverWalk.
